Description:Comprising very little area that is not in the coastal zone, Florida was two-thirds wetlands when she achieved statehood. Thus Florida may well be the ideal state for studying the evolution of coastal law. Here some seventy articles and excerpts from statutes and case law are brought together. Materials from federal law and other states are included for comparison. Part One provides an introduction to coastal management; Part Two traces the development of public and private rights in coastal areas; and Part Three examines the legal regulatory framework of coastal management.
