Description:This is the proceedings of a conference that sought to define the boundaries and significant natural resources of North Carolina's coastal ocean; to identify the status of and potential risks to coastal ocean resources; and to identify current resource management strategies, use conflicts, informational gaps, and future directions for the state's ocean planning efforts. Conference findings are intended to provide direction to the task force, state resource, agencies and the public on how the state can protect the long-term values and benefits of ocean resources and uses.
