Description:This report on the results of a national survey, conducted in 1984, primarily presents a broad statistical overview of fishery education programs in the United States, rather than catalog-type detailed information of individual programs. Two generic problems were encountered in this study: 1. Most programs do not differentiate between freshwater and saltwater fisheries. 2. Many institutions offer a focus in fisheries but not a fisheries degree.
