Description:This field guide is a unique publication in several respects. First, the subject area, Ka'ena, is a unique environment which offers many opportunities for studying botany, seashore life, geology, Hawaiiana, climatology and natural history. Second, Ed Arrigoni, a teacher at Kaiser High School, volunteered countless hours pulling together material (written and unwritten) from numerous sources and people. Third, the field book contains valuable information essential for some understanding of Ka'ena's resources; this understanding is necessary in order that ongoing decisions affecting the future of Ka'ena will be based on input from informed citizens.
