Description:This report lists and describes 11 key management actions for restoring the badly polluted Lower Green Bay-Fox River ecosystem in Wisconsin. These comprise a consolidation of the recommendations of three technical advisory committees (on managing eutrophication and nutrients, biota and habitat, and toxic substances in the ecosystem). Key actions given high priority include reducing the inputs of phosphorus, sediment and suspended solids; eliminating the toxicity of industrial and municipal discharges; reducing the availability of toxic chemicals in sediments; and continued control of oxygen-demanding wastes from industrial and municipal discharges.
