Description:Seafood processing wastes can be utilized for a variety of products. One such product is liquid fish fertilizer. Research has demonstrated that liquid fish fertilizer can be used effectively in commercial production of a variety of agricultural and horticultural crops. This report formulates business, technology, and development strategies to improve a specific New Jersey producer's competitive position in agricultural and consumer fertilizer markets. These strategies are based upon a situation audit and customer, internal, competitive, and environmental analyses. This plan may serve as a model business development and marketing plan for seafood processors elsewhere in establishing a fish hydrolysate production facility and developing markets for their products.
