Description:The fifth meeting of the Transboundary Resources Assessment Committee (TRAC) was held during 5-8 February 2002 in Woods Hole, Ma., USA to review the assessment models for 5Z+6 cod and 5Zjm cod to be used over the next 3-4 years. The assessment meetings will be held for Canadian management units in mid - April 2002 and for US management units sometime during the summer of 2002. This was the first time that TRAC had undertaken benchmark reviews separate from the provision of assessments and was generally considered a positive development. The meeting also discussed issues related to yield and stock production.
