  From 1992 through 1994 the port sampling crew collected catch and effort data from 1,041 lobster boats which landed catch(s at 154 randomly selected dealers along the Maine coast. The total catch sampled weighed about 97 tons and consisted of 153,684 lobsters with annual mean weights and carapace lengths ranging from 569.2 g (1.25 lbs.) to 511.1 g (1.26 lbs) and 89.4 mm to 89.6 mm (3.5 in.), respectively.
