Fishery dependent monitoring of the American lobster (Homarus americanus) off the east end and south shore of Long Island, NY

  During 2002, 24 sea sampling trips were conducted around Long Island and 8 trips were conducted during 2003. Sea sampling trips were conducted in western Long Island Sound (WLIS) and off the south shore of Long Island (SS) in both years, and trips were also conducted in eastern Long Island Sound (ELIS) during 2002. No trips were conducted off the east end of Long Island. Sampling was conducted throughout the year during 2002 and during the spring, summer, and fall during 2003.
