Description:In June 1992, the Director of the NESDIS Office of Research and Applications (ORA) convened the staff of ORA for a strategic planning work session at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland. The purpose of the session was to establish a consensus from which ORA could create and develop new remote sensing technologies, products, and management approaches to provide essential remote sensing services to the Nation for environmental monitoring and prediction.
