Description:OBJECTIVES 1) Conduct a study to assess the distribution and abundance of coastal sharks, red snapper (Lutjanus campechanus) and grouper. 2) Collect biological and environmental data with a conductivitytemperature-depth (CTD) sensor at survey sites. 3) Tag and release sharks. 4) Conduct seven plankton stations (CTD, bongo, neuston) for the Southeast Area Monitoring and Assessment Program (SEAMAP) fall plankton survey of U.S. continental shelf waters in the Gulf of Mexico.
