Description:The crawfish producing area of South Louisiana is concentrated in two parishes (St. Martin and Iberia) lying on the west side, and two parishes (Iberville and Assumption) on the east side of the lower Atchafalaya River. The research project herein described was undertaken as one of a series of preliminary investigations aimed at evaluating the possibilities of developing out-of-state markets for crawfish.
