Description:"The optimum methods of convective precipitation measurement as a function of specified accuracy, and area size over which the measurements are to be made, are discussed. These methods involve gages or S-band radar or a combination of the two. The various methods are compared in the context of the continuing multiple cloud seeding experiment of the Experimental Meteorology Laboratory."
