Description:Data were collected and analyzed for lake whitefish Coregonus clupeaformis caught by state-licensed commercial fishers operating in Michigan waters of Lake Michigan. Most commercial fishing in Michigan waters of Lake Michigan is regulated according to court-mediated settlements associated with the Treaty of 1836. Data collected during the course of this study period helped fulfill monitoring and stock assessment requirements mandated by a Consent Decree that was put into effect in August, 2000.
