Description:The issue of groundfish and juvenile finfish bycatch is of great concern to the fishing industry and to the New England Fishery Management Council (NEFMC). The stated goal of this project was to give resource managers a means to allow whiting and other small-mesh species to be harvested without groundfish bycatch.
