Description:This final report presents the body of practical knowledge and data that proves government funding can be wisely used to improve the livelihood of the U.S. small fishing family business. New techniques for harvesting, quality control, seafood marketing and doing catch valued added work were defined, tested and included as part of this project's work scope. Implementation and expansion of these techniques will aid in solving one of the problems presently facing the U.S. fisheries. This problem is, "How to maintain the small family fishing industry without sacrificing fish resources and habitats".
