Description:This final report provides a summary of the results of the Fishing Industry Grant project entitled "Commercial, market, and scientific analyses of the scarlet shrimp, Plesiopenaeus edwardsianus,an underutilized species in deep waters of the continental shelf from Maine to Virginia," awarded to Clinton Fisheries and Captain William I. Bomster of Stonington, Connecticut (Grant No. NA56FK0095). A description of the exploratory effort undertaken, the biological and catch-per-unit-effort data collected, the processing methods developed, and the results of a market survey completed by purchasers of the shrimp are provided
