Description:Faced with declining stocks, increasing conservation regulations and diminishing returns on effort and investment, New England's Fishing Industry needs alternative employment for its vessels and crews. This report identifies these problems and through its research, offers nonexploitive employment options for medium sized fishing vessels. Accomplishments, impediments, problems and triumphs will be discussed, as will the methodologies used for investigation and implementation.
