Description:The staff continued to develop, revise, review and implement fishery management plans (FMPs). Since 1989, 15 FMPs have been adopted by the Executive Council encompassing 21 species and over 260 commitments. The FMP process requires monitoring the status and trends of each stock, updating fishery statistics, coordinating management actions among the Bay jurisdictions, implementing coastal recommendations, integrating habitat considerations, and tracking progress towards meeting the goals and objectives of each plan.
