To date, 14 FMPs have been adopted by the Chesapeake Bay Program's Executive Council, encompassing 20 species and over 250 commitments. During 1997, the FMP workgroup continued to monitor the status and trends of each stock, update fishery statistics, coordinate management actions among the Bay jurisdictions and coastal recommendations, integrate habitat considerations, and track the progress of each plan.
