Description:This report describes the implementation of the ParOSSE framework for NOAA’s current and potential temperature and water vapor sounding architectures, focusing on passive hyperspectral infrared and microwave observations from: 1. the Cross-track Infrared Sounder (CrIS) and the Advanced Technology Microwave Sounder (ATMS) 2. future hyperspectral sounding from the next-generation geostationary infrared sounder 3. potential future hyperspectral IR and microwave sounders, based on technology either currently available or in development.
