Description:This report describes the effects that 84 documented eastern north Pacific tropical cyclones had on the southwestern United States from 1900-84. These effects range from the trivial; isolated light showers, to the severe; high winds, heacy rains, and disastrous flash floods. Maps of tropical cyclones along with a description of each storm. The tracks of these cyclones are also plotted on the aforementioned maps as are sea surface temperature for all storms from 1947-84. In addition, a series of 500 mb height maps are presented for each cyclone from 1946-83.
