As part of a program to characterize the performance of current meters in a wave environment, the Engineering Support Office (ESO) of NOAA/OTES contracted with EG&G to model the dynamic performance of the NBIS ACM-2 acoustic current meter and to evaluate the model by comparing its predictions with dynamic tow tank tests.
