Description:The CTARP Energy Facility Siting Study resulted because of a fortunate combination of compatible objectives, experience, and resources - and as a result of over seven man-years of professional effort over an eighteen month period. As a requirement for funding the Study, the federal Office of Coastal Zone Management (OCZM), U.S. Department of Commerce, defined the Study's specific mission as that of seeking ways to improve the processes by which state coastal management agencies consider the national interest when evaluating facility siting proposals.
