Description:

Survey operations were conducted in the western North Atlantic Ocean along the U.S. Gulf of Mexico and U.S. southeast Atlantic coast (Figure 1 ). OBJECTIVES: 1) Conduct a study to assess the distribution and abundance of coastal sharks, red snapper (Lutjanus campechanus) and grouper. 2) Collect biological and environmental data at survey sites. 3) Tag and release sharks.
