This survey report on the tornado which struck northeastern Illinois on August 28, 1990, was prepared by a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Disaster Survey Team following a 4-day visit to the storm site. The report is based upon information gathered by the team through a series of visits to National Weather Service Offices and during interviews with members of other agencies, organizations, and state, county, and municipal governments.
