Description:

Danish fisheries continued to prosper in 1973, as the quantity and value of both landings and exports increased. Cod and plaice landings declined, but fish landed for reduction rose to record levels and accounted for 80 percent of the total quantity landed. Sales to the United States, primarily cod fillets and blocks, fell somewhat in quantity, but rose slightly in value as a result of high prices.
