Description:Volume I provides a summary of the CZM and estuarine reserve programs and describes the accomplishments of state CZM programs in selected national interest areas — coastal hazards, wetlands protection, coastal water quality, public access, and waterfront redevelopment. In addition, Volume I describes the highlights of CZMA administration during the biennium, including implementation of the Coastal Zone Act Reauthorization Amendments of 1990 (1990 CZMA Amendments), and delineates future directions for these efforts, including coastal management issues of national importance and administrative planning.
