Description:This Federal Plan is the twenty-third in the series that has been published by the Office of the Federal Coordinator for Meteorological Services and Supporting Research. A special attempt has been made to focus this report on the many changes that are taking place in meteorological services and supporting research. Of course, as in the past, the report is prepared for the specific purpose of complying with the requirements of Section 304, Public Law 87-843. It is published to provide the Congress and the Executive Branch with a coordinated, overall plan for Government meteorological services and for those research and development programs that directly support and improve meteorological services. The Plan covers the programs of all agencies for FY 1987 and FY 1988.
