Description:This nautical charting plan describes proposals for Fiscal Years 1979 through 1988 and was developed to enable management officials of the National Ocean Survey (NOS) and its parent organization, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), to allocate resources for the orderly and efficient conduct of nautical charting responsibilities. This plan is also designed to acquaint other organizations and individuals, public and private, with current and proposed NOS charting programs.
