Description:Runoff from the Hudson and Raritan Rivers is a major source of new nutrients and organic matter in the apex of the New York Bight, particularly off the coast of New Jersey. This report describes the results of a research program designed to determine the importance of these anthropogenic nutrients relative to other sources and to document their effects on biological activity and related water quality parameters.
