Description:The concept of the first Pacific Congress on Marine Technology (PACON 84) was originated in August 1982. The purpose of the Congress was to start a dialogue among the marine technologists and technocrats in the Pacific Basin. Due to its broad and interdisciplinary scope, the technical sessions of the Congress are grouped under two categories, namely Ocean Sciences & Technology (OST) and Marine Resources Management (MRM).
