Description:This color-illustrated booklet features an essay written on the heels of the "Exxon Valdez" fiasco that outlines ways to avoid future oil spill disasters. There are chapters describing effects of the Alaska oil spill on wildlife, human health, and local economies, including Native villages; other chapters discuss oil spill cleanup technology and state and federal legislation spurred by the spill.
