Description:Provides color aerial photography and hyperspectral imagery for the near shore waters of the eight Main Hawaiian Island to create maps of the region's marine resources including coral reefs and other important habitats. These benthic hatitat features were classified using a hierarchical Coral Reef Habitat Classification Scheme. Accuracy of benthic habitat maps in geographic information system (GIS) format produced by visual interpretation of the remotely sensed iamge data were then compared.
