Description:

GEFS version 12 (FV3-GEFS) is still under development and will be implemented at Q3FY2020. FV3-GEFS uses the NOAA new generation global forecast model with the GFDL Finite-Volume Cubed-Sphere (FV3) dynamical core (Lin and Rood, 1997; Lin 2004).
