Description:This Level-3 (L3) Environmental Data Record (EDR) provides a Global (1 km) Vegetation Health and Drought product (VHDP) detected with the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) onboard the Suomi-NPP and NOAA-20 satellites. This weekly product provides estimates of the Vegetation Index (VCI), Temperature Index (TCI) and Vegetation Health Index (VHI). These indices are designed to characterize moisture conditions (VCI), thermal conditions (TCI) and total vegetation health (VHI) conditions in response to weather impacts. This dataset is produced by the NOAA Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) and is distributed by the Comprehensive Large Array-Data Stewardship System (CLASS) in the NetCDF-4 file format with metadata attributes included.
