Description:

The purpose of this publication is to provide National Weather Service personnel with a ready reference of information that may be useful when preparing weather stories and radio scripts, when taIking to mass-media reporters, and when answering questions from the general public. This second revision differs from the first revised tabulation in that Anchorage, Honolulu, Alaska, and Hawaii have been added to the list of cities and states, a number of new extremes have been updated, and previous errors have been corrected.
