Description:This research explored the awareness and use of the NHC Potential Storm Surge Flooding map, as well as awareness and communication around the experimental storm surge watch/warning (and prototype map) during the Hermine event. The research focused on the potential effects of these products on risk perception, emergency preparedness, and decision‐ making. Additionally, the work considered partners’ communication needs related to storm surge threats from extratropical (ET) and post‐tropical (PT)storms.
