The cruise period was 19-28 August 2003. The chartered fisheries research vessel ARGO MAINE covered Georges Bank and Gulf of Maine regions (Figure 1) for the Late Summer Ecosystems Monitoring Survey. The primary objective of the cruise was to assess changing biological and physical properties which influence the sustainable productivity of the living marine resources of Georges Bank and Gulf of Maine portions of the northeast continental shelf ecosystem.
