The cruise period was from 28 October to 14 November 2002. The research vessel DELAWARE II covered the Mid-Atlantic Bight, Southern New England, Georges Bank and Gulf of Maine regions (Figure 1) for the Late Fall Ecosystems Monitoring Survey. The primary objective of the cruise was to assess the changing biological and physical properties of the Mid-Atlantic Bight, Southern New England, Georges Bank and Gulf of Maine portions of the Northeast Continental Shelf ecosystem which influence the sustainable productivity of the living marine resources.
