Description:There were a total of 132 casts successfully completed including 19 salinity calibration samples. The station density in the Gulf of Maine is less than previous ECOMON cruises due to both winch problems on the Delaware II and bad weather conditions. On a few stations that were deeper than 200m (Wilkinson Basin), a second profile to the bottom was not completed because of time constraints to finish the survey on time. There were not a lot of “decent” satellite images during the cruise period, but I have included one that I thought was best showing a Gulf Stream ring located at the edge of the shelf south of Cape Cod.
