    This report has examined the causes and extent of Florida's shoreline erosion and possible responses. Additionally, the value of the beaches to the State's economy has been reviewed. The history, effectiveness, and economic value of past beach nourishment projects has been evaluated, and a recommended change of the current Beach Erosion Control Program to a comprehensive Beach Management Program has been given."--Page ix.
