Description:"Between January 1983 and February 1984, eleven sites in the Pamlico-Albemarle peninsula area were sampled for a wide range of water quality parameters. Primary emphasis of the study was placed upon whether or not mercury exists in the ambient water, sediment, and fish tissue present in the area of interest. A secondary purpose was to assess ambient water quality by examination of macroinvertebrate and phytoplankton communities."--p.iv.
