Description:"The purpose of this technical report is to present the results of modeling efforts to estimate the distribution of ionospheric electrical potential, ionospheric and field-aligned currents, and Joule heating rate from ground-based magnetic records for two intervals; (1) 0600-1800 UT on March 22, 1979, and 92) 1200 UT on March 31 to 0600 UT on April 1, 1979. This global modeling study constitutes one of the major contributions to the Coordinated Data Analysis Workshop (CDAW-6) sponsored by the National Space Science Data Center, NASA"--Introduction, paragraph 1.
