Description:"The purpose of this report is to present some of our products: calculated ionospheric electrical potentials, ionospheric and field-aligned currents, and joule heating rates by the ionospheric currents. Also included are the measures ground magnetic perturbations on March 17,18 and 19, 1978: from seventy-one stations. Part 1 contains brief comments on the method used in the estimation of these quantities. Part 2 displays common-scale magnetograms in the Xm (geomagnetic north) and Ym (east) components from all the 71 stations. In part 3 are plots at hourly intervals of the global distribution of these parameters. it is hoped that these data sets provide the scientific community with new information to improve our understanding of magnetospheric and ionospheric processes"--Introduction, paragraph 4.
