Description:"The document and the Implementation Plan it presents are intended as working tools to facilitate the development of interagency cooperation toward a Global Change Data and Information System (GCDIS). This document will be submitted for formal review and endorsement to the participating agencies and their parent Departments. The document will also be provided for review to various interagency groups, such as the Committee on Earth and Environmental Sciences (CEES), especially the Subcommittee on Global Change Research, and the Interagency Working Group on Data Management for Global Change (IWGDMGC). In addition, the document will be provided to the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) Committee on Geophysical Data for comment"--Preface.
