Description:Funding for this research was awarded to accomplish the following objectives: 1) review current literature regarding Atlantic salmon growth and produce a summary of current knowledge, 2) establish a study design and framework for conducting field observations and modeling, 3) establish criteria for selecting sampling sites based on data col1ected by the Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife (VTFW) and choose the sites, 4) perform field work, and 5) analyze diets of salmon collected during field sampling. All of these objectives were completed, except for the last, which will be completed on a separately funded project. A summary of the work performed to meet these objectives is presented below.
