Description:The Transboundary Herring Project has been conducted within the Pelagic Fisheries Division (Bureau of Marine Sciences) of the Maine Department of Marine Resources since 1986. This project is funded by the lnterjurisdictional Fisheries Act and administered by the National Marine Fisheries Service, State, Federal and Constituent Program Division, at the Northeast Regional Office in Gloucester, MA. This annual report summarizes project activities during the period March 1 1994 to February 28 1995. It contains five separate research reports and five appendices. The six jobs that are reported on separately are: 1) herring catch statistics, 2) herring sample data, 3) resource assessment, 4) acoustic survey, 5) larval survival and recruitment.
