This final report summaries the test results pertaining to the use of a double grate codend in the northern shrimp trawl fishery. The Fishing Industry Grant ( No. NA66FK0063 ) was given to Captain Ronald C. Shepard, of Stonington ME to experiment with this new net design. A description of the testing, including gear alterations with catch results and how it applies to the northern shrimp otter trawl fishery as well as a complete data analysis and summation is provided in this report.
