This project provided assistance to lobster fishermen impacted by the 1999 die-off in Long Island Sound. Funding was directed to three areas: funds to compensate fishermen for the loss of business, sustaining aid to lobster fishermen that wished to remain in the business and assistance to communities dependent upon such fisherman.
